Today I stopped at Mac's to buy some bread (for grilled cheese sandwiches, of course). I realized there were three cars running in the parking lot, with no one in them.
I really like that I live in a neighbourhood where people can still do that.
I also really like when people refer to Mac's as Mike's Mart. Oh, and when people call the Zellers plaza the Kmart plaza. My mom does this and it's cute.

I often still have dreams that are set in the OLD Zellers stores, both in the Station mall, remember the one that started where Bootlegger and Garage are now? And the one in the Cambrian where Romes is now, but facing the other way.
I used to live in a neighborhood like this. My hometown. It was wonderfully podunk. And from time to time I slip back into my old ways: leave doors unlocked, the car running, tie the pug up to a post outside a drugstore ... and Joe just goes apeshit. He can't fathom how I'm not distrustful of everything and everyone.
Where are you? What have you been up to? I need something random. Stat.
